Jason Kelley Bio:

Hello Pittsburgh!  My name is Jason Kelley and I have been a Physical Therapist since 1999.

I have been blessed to be a PT for almost 21 years. I started my career in Richmond VA.  During my time there I was the staff PT for the Richmond Renegades ECHL professional hockey team as well as the Richmond Speed Arena 2 Football Club. I learned everything that I know about this profession from Dennis Spurrier and Peter Catizone at HealthSouth. I moved back to the Burgh in 2001 to take a position at the UPMC Rooney Sports Medicine Complex on the Southside of Pittsburgh.

There I was given the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and diagnoses including many college and professional athletes. One of my favorite experiences was performing Marc Andre Fleurys’ initial physical screen before becoming a Pittsburgh Penguin. There I was able to be a part of the development team under world-renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Marc Philippon.

I was able to be a part of developing cutting-edge rehabilitation protocols for hip arthroscopy which has become the standard for a hip injury in the athletic population. I developed a hip CPM device with Dr. Marc Philipon that unfortunately stalled at the US Patent Office. (That may still happen!)  In 2007 Glenn Holland, Pete Dravoitch, and I opened a clinic in Wexford, PA under the name Drayer Physical Therapy Institute.  Had an amazing adventure that set the stage for the dream that Glenn and I have finally set in motion in 2020.

I left to pursue a career in Richmond VA in 2011. While in Richmond I treated the AAA Coach for the Washington Nationals Baseball Club including R.C Orlan who won the national championship while at UNC. I became their lead therapist for their athletes that resided in the Richmond area. During that time I treated the NFL first-round draft pick Mekhi Becton of the New York Jet’s when he was in high school.  I returned to the Burgh in 2017 to build and establish my dream of a family-owned and operated Company called Kelly and Kelley, LLC treating patients in their homes with orthopedic injuries.

On January 19th, 2017 God put an angel in my life…now named Kelly Kelley.  She is my world. We now manage 2 amazing kids in Richmond, VA as well as 2 equally amazing younger kids in Fox Chapel, PA.

We hope to see you soon and welcome you into our family of Holland and Kelley!
